According to my information (which isn't carved in stone :o), if you are talking about the James Pike (whose father is William Pike b. Dec., 1830) - he couldn't have gone to Texas in 1852 because he wasn't born until abt. 1874. However, I do have a James Pike (b. abt. 1803/Williams's father) who had a son, Aaron Rice Pike (b. June, 1840) that married a Martha Ellen Harden (b. August, 1844). Is that a possibility?
