Brown Carrie W. Brown, age 80, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday January 11, 2003, at Hillandale Nursing Center of Hamilton. Carrie was born February 5, 1922 to the late James Milton, and Rachel (Roberts) Rooks in Adair Co. Kentucky. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert on Feb. 23, 2000. She was also preceded in death by four brothers: William, Welby, Charlie, & Ednell Rook; and three sisters: Mattie Floyd, Lettie McElroy, & Betty Rock. Surviving are two sons: Allen (&Joyce) Brown of Alton, and James (&Kathleen) Brown of Hamilton; a brother, Elvin Rooks of Louisville, Kentucky; a sister, Lena Brown of Louisville, Kentucky; three grandchildren: Michelle Schexnayder, Jason Brown, and Mason Brown; and two step-grandchildren: Lucas and Atticus Boyd. Funeral services will be held at Kowalk Funeral Home - Rosehill Chapel, Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. am till time of the service. Burial will follow in Rosehill Burial Park.
