There is no single source for their names. Adair men can be found in the 13th Kentucky Cavalry US, 1st Kentucky Cavalry US, 8th Kentucky Cavalry US, 4th Kentucky Infantry CS, and I am sure there were others. The prewar State Guard unit called the Adair Guard contained men who went to both sides.
