    1. John Briant/Bryant and Elizabeth
    2. Victoria, I received an email that you had answered one of my posts regarding John & Elizabeth Bryant of Adair Co, Ky. I have absolutely NO idea which post you might be referring to as these new boards do not let you know. Since these new & improved?? boards are so very unreliable, I have also sent you a private email. The John Briant/Bryant and Elizabeth I descend from are John Bryant b 1760-65 (place unknown) md Elizabeth (md name unknown). The earliest record I have found of my John is in 1802 when John Briant on Glen's Fork of Russell's Creek in Adair Co, Ky is advertising a stray. John & Elizabeth lived on Glen's Fork until there deaths. John died in 1841 and Elizabeth died in 1854. They raised 13 children. Some times this John Bryant md to Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) is confused with John Bryant md to Judy Winfrey (some say her middle name was Elizabeth). This is understandable since both John Bryant's were in Adair Co, Ky at the same time for a few years. It is proved in Rev. War pension claim of John Bryant who md. Judy Winfrey that he left Adair Co, Ky and moved on to Tn between 1808 and 1818 (then later to Alabama). I have also seen where someone credits the John Bryant who was md to Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) and who remained on Glen's Fork until his death, with being a member of the first Grand Jury of Adair Co in 1802. I am sure that this is John Bryant md to Judy Winfrey, not John Bryant md to Elizabeth (maiden name unknown). I have never heard of an Elizabeth Carter who was md to a John Bryant. Where were they from? What time period are you referring to?? Can you give a little more detail?? Thanks, Brenda Bryant Venaas [email protected]
