Upon closer investigation, it appears that the "McCalawell" name that I mentioned in a previous message could have been "Calawell." What appears to be "Mc" may have been some abbreviated form of the man's first name. Was there a Calawell family in the general Adair County, KY area in the early 1800s? Thanks!
