This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Polston / Polson, Young Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RAB.2ACI/558.243.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I understand completely. I would love to be able to look at what you have if you don't mind. Do you have a Tree posted on the net? I have a connection with one group under the surname of Polson. They have my Young family in their Tree. I have been so confused it may be just that my mind wants to stay that way. It has been so hard locating anything I am questioning everything. One of my biggest questions on the Polson family is the spelling. Usually if a surname is spelled differnet you will still run across the other spelling some where in the Tree. On my Albert Henry Young / Henry Albert Young's death cert. (which I know can have mistakes) her last name is spelled Polston. Henry A. Young was born in 1875 in TX according to the census for Waco TX making him 5 yr at the time, matches. I was just in hopes that maybe you were my connection. It is a very unusal name and very hard to locate in Texas. I have located where Martha (who was called Jane by her family but referred to as Mrs M. J. Young on most documents) applied for confederate benefits while living in Erath Co. TX., and another individua! l has informed me that B. C. "Ben" Young may be buried in Erath Co, Lingleville, TX at the East End Cemetery. Martha is buried in the West End Cemetery in Erath Co., Stephenville, TX as Mrs. M.J. Young b)Jun 10, 1841 d)July 4, 1908. Going by the Polson information that has been shared with me Martha's parents were Thomas J. Polson & Sarah "Sally". Siblings: Nancy S., Anna E., Louise E., Sarah A.C., Mary A., John Benjamin, Susan, and Henry C. Polson. All (except Nancy which was born in KY) were born in MO, Randolph, MO. The information also shows that most of Martha's children lived, married, and died in TX (except Anna E. Polson died DeQueen, MO). Thomas J. Polson's parents show to be Rev. Benjamin Polson b) 1792 VA. d) 1873 Randolph, MO and Sarah Polson. Maybe with this addition information on the shared info I have other than Martha, you can help me. Thank you so much for your reply. I really hope that there is some kind of connection. Thank you again! Cloyce :-)
