His name was Wesley but I do not know who his parents were. He first married Martha Ann and she may have been a Chockley, too, but am not sure. Then he married Eva Carroll and she was the mother of the Mary I was seeking, who was born in 1920. Wesley and first wife buried in Chockley Cemetery, McDonough Co IL but Eva is not buried there. Interesting note - I looked back on the settlement papers for Richard's wife Jane's father's estate, in 1843 and later, where their son Benjamin was an heir, and his name is spelled Chalkley on several of them. We had always known it to be Chockley and I thought it was just a mistake of the scribe, but maybe they did spell it that way. In the 1871 McDonough County atlas, in Eldorado Township, on land owned by R, B, and E Chockley it is spelled Chockley. Jean Stockham
