I have a Burton B. Bryant listed as the son of James Clayton Bryant, but this Burton wasn't born until 1864. I have a James Bryant (b. 1824, s/o William Bryant and Rhoda Hardin) Married to Rachael ?, the only child I have listed for them is a son John W. Bryant b. 1847. The James Bryant (s/o John & Elizabeth) that married Ellender Powell I show the first few children without names, only as "son" or "daughter". There was a daughter b. 1826.
