If it helps, the Sarah who married John Barker is a different gal, from a different family altogether. He is John Hamilton Barker and she is the daughter of Peter DeMoss and Catherine Houseman. These guys lived pretty near where I live now, and I have sorted them out. And the Sarah Barker who married John DeMoss was really Sarah Barker (and not the widow DeMoss) She was the daughter of Joseph Barker and Nancy Hamilton and the sister of John Hamilton Barker. That Sarah Barker is my gggg grandmother. She pretty solidly documented. So I hope this de-complicates this line a bit for you. I am still pounding away at the DeMoss/Mellingers.
