Emily was born in Cumberland Co., KY (per birth record of one child, Martha, in 1875 in Cumberland Co., KY.) In the 1850 Cumberland Co., KY both she and Martha appear in dwelling #698. P. Soc. McGlasson (male), age 40, b. VA, farmer Polly McGlasson, age 25, b. KY Jane McGlasson, age 16, b. KY Ann McGlasson, age 14, b. KY Mary McGlasson, age 12, b. KY Martha McGlasson, age 9, b. KY D.(?) McGlasson, female, age 7, b. KY Emily McGlasson, age 5, b. KY Jno. W. McGlasson, age 1, b. KY In 1860 Cumberland Co., KY, Amandaville, dwelling #2: Polly Loyd, age 40, b. KY Jane McGlasson, age 26, b. KY Martha McGlasson, age 17, b. KY Virinda McGlasson, female, age 5, b. KY Emily McGlasson, age 12, b. KY Eliza Ann McGlasson, age 9, b. KY Robert A. Loyd, age 2, b. KY In Gorin's CUMBERLAND COUNTY, KENTUCKY VITAL STATISTICS (Glasgow, KY: Gorin Publications, 1994), on page 138: 5-25-1857 - Loyde, Thoma, age 38, single, b. & resident of Cumberland Co., KY married to Polly McGlasson, age 42, single, b. & resident of Cumberland Co., KY. I really don't think this Polly is the mother of Martha and perhaps not Emily, either. However, I have been unable to locate a marriage, birth, death or property record in Cumberland county which might shed some light. Hope this helps you.
