Donnie, Received email from Pat Hollingsworth stating that it is her understanding that the James Clayton Bryant whose wife was Susan Deener was the son of James Bryant and Ellen Powell and that he was born 18 Dec. 1832/34. She further states that James, son of James, appears as James C. in 1870, 1880,1900 & 1910, as well as cemetery records as James C. From these facts, it appears rather certain that your James Clayton Bryant is son of James Bryant and Ellender Powell. James being the son of John & Elizabeth Bryant.
