Cemetery has waist high stone wall around it. [7 grave markers listed] 'There are two graves outside this rock wall. One is of a baby, identity unknown, grave unmarked. The other, however, is of: 'Owens, Dr. Hector, born between 1809 & 1815 (census), died in the cholora epidemic of 1873. His grave is surrounded by a small stone wall.' *************** Dozens of male children in Adair County -- and a few in surrounding counties -- from the 1840s through the early 1870s were named Hector O. or some variation thereof in honor of Dr. Owens.
