I have Larkin Burton b.1876 d.1962. He was the son of George W. Burton and Sally Moore. He married Cyrena Burton in 1899 in Adair County. She was born in 1876 and died in 1963. She was the daughter of Cyrenius Burton and Julia Burton. I have the following children for Larkin and Cyrena: Lizzie Burton 1902- Lora Burton 1904- m. James Madison Burton Gracie Burton 1905- m. Joseph McQueary Bennie Burton 1906- m. Grace Simpson James Burton 1907- Hettie Burton 1910- Annie Burton 1913- Lula Burton 1915- Finis or Thomas Burton 1917- George W. Burton was born in 1845 in Pulaski County and died in 1917 in Adair County. He was the son of Cornelius Buron and Elizabeth Warf. He married Sally Moore in Russell County. ( I don't have the bond, but you can view it online). She was born in 1847. They had the following children: Larkin Burton 1876-1962 m. Cyrena Burton Eliza Jane Burton 1880-1953 m. Peter Marion Bryant Drewery Burton 1884- m. Clara Belle Sumner Lorena Burton 1886- William Burton 1888- Additonal info from above: 1.James Madison Burton was the son Richard Burton and Emily Jane Bryant. Emily was my great great grandmother, Sarah Ellen Bryant's, sister. 2.Joseph McQueary was the son of Frank Wolford McQueary and Emmiliza Burton. 3. Grace Simpson was the daughter of George Henry Simpson ad Martha Jane Campbell. She was my great grandma, Maude Simpson's, youngest sister. Grace died last year. 4. Peter Marion Bryant was the son of John Milton Bryant and Martha Katherine Cowan. Peter was my GGgrandmother, Sarah Ellen Bryant's, brother. 5. Clara Belle Sumner was the daughter of Demcey Sumner and Nancy Jane Burton. Drewery and Clara lived in Edinburgh, IN. The Rest Haven Cem. book has a lot of useful info on thir family. The Lorena Burton from above may be the Rena Burton that was married to Noah Burton. I would sure like to veify that she is that person. Noah and Rena Burton have a ton of descendents in columbia and edinburgh. Noah Burton's family was very close to mine in marriage and frienship.
