They had about twelve children, one of whom was Catherine, called Caty, after John's sister Catherine who married Jacob Hite. Caty married Joseph Nelson Dec. 23, 1771. They had several children, but the only one I have done any work on was a son, James Nelson, Sr. who married Elizabeth O'Bannon Feb 11, 1795, daughter of William O'Bannon and Anne Neville. Your Joseph could possibly be a brother of James Nelson.
