I finally located Willie B Burton b. Jan 21, 1872 d. Dec 24, 1929 death certificate. The information was given by his wife, Nancy. It list his father as Arthur Burton and Francis Jade. The rumor of him being illegitamate son of Ambrose and Sally Judd could still be true, but Arthur raised him. William is listed in the 1880 Census as 7 living with Arthur and Sally. Do you know any more about this couple, Arthur and Sally? Be nice to hear from you again. Sandy

Sally of your message fits into the Nicholas Co., KY ROYSE family rather than the Adair Co., KY one. There was a Solomon ROYSE of Nicholas Co., KY who md. Sally JOHNSON. This Solomon was b. ca. 1797 in Nicholas Co., KY, the son of Hiram ROYSE and his wf. Tacitus (maiden nm. unknown)----Hiram being the twin brother of the Solomon ROYSE, Sr. of Adair Co., KY. I have the same listing of children for the Solomon ROYSE of Nicholas Co., KY as you do and have more on that ROYSE line back from Hiram and Solomon. I haven't done the research on it myself and was given no references for this lineage, so cannot vouch for it. The Solomon W. ROYSE, b. ca. 1804 in Adair Co., KY, was the s.o. Solomon ROYSE and his wife Sally STOTTS, is said (I haven't proven this) to have md. Nancy JANES and they had no children....but I cannot vouch for this information.

Back in 2000 my mother, aunt and myself went back on what was called the Royse Farm years ago on Idenpendent Ridge Road in Breeding where there is a Royse Family Cemetery with 6 stones in it. My great great grandpa use to own the land then sold it to the Royse Family. My gg grandpa was Warfield Estes and his son Warfiled Estes Jr "Dude". Family members have put a fence around the cemetery to preserve it and a big sign that reads "Royse" . If my mother and aunt did not know the area we would never have found it.. it was way back off of the road over hills and we had to go through gates to get to it. The graves that are in there are: Cohen Vina Royse, Bettie Royse and husband Arthur Royse, Oris "Boss" Royse, William H. Royse and J.M. Hundley, I have photos of these headstones and most are readable one was broken and they have attempted to repaid it.. let me know if you want copies of these photos or more information on the family that owned the cemetery or the exact location of the cemetery. Roberta "Bert"
V. Roysem b, 1838, is actually Burgess G. Royse; S. Royse, b. 1844 in Sherrod H. Royse; C. Royse, b. 1846 is Cornelia K. Royse; and M. Royse, 1850, is Martha M. Royse. There is another child, Franklin P. Royse, born about 1853.

Somewhere I have a cemetary photo for a Vina Cohen Royse, if I am remembering correctly. I can't remember any dates off hand. I will try to locate the photo. I've seen your post regarding Stotts family. I have some info for Stotts as well.
