    1. Re: Bryant
    2. Brenda, This note is in reference to your Venaas surname. There is nearly nothing on ancestry.com regarding this surname. I am a descendant of Iver & Margo Venaas, born in 1856 and 1859, respectively. Their children were: Mary, William, Lena, Melvin, Julian, Emma, Ned, Rose, Inga, Oscar, and Bennett (my paternal grandfather). They were all born in either Minnesota or North Dakota. Any possible connection here? Thanks! Kathy O.

    2. Rosemary, I have this in my Hamilton/Coomer data, hope it helps. ---- GLENZORA COOMER was born October 08, died April 20, 1985 in Edmonton, Ky. She married CLEM HAMILTON in TN, son of JIM HAMILTON and JULIA WILSON. He was born October 09, 1880 in Metcalfe Co., Ky, and died May 24, 1954 in Metcalfe Co., Ky. Do you have more on JULIA WILSON?

    1. Marcella Squires b Abt 1819
    2. Hi, Acoording to data I have received from others, Marcella was the d/o William Squires and Catherine Tinsley. Since William was a s/o Uriah Squires and Elizabeth Trigg, this means Marcella was a granddaughter rather than a daughter of Urriah. All I have so far in this branch of the family is her birth Abt 1819 in Green Co, TN and her marriage to Henry C. Townsend on 21 November 1836 in Green Co, TN. Lots of Luck in your search! Regards, Jerrold Haldiman a 4th g-grandson of Uriah Squires & Elizabeth Trigg

    1. Regarding the GenConnect Boards...
    2. Suzanne Shephard
    3. I have received so many emails in the past two days regarding the new Query and GenConnect boards that have links from our website. I'll try and explain it... first off, anything you send me to post on the website goes on the site and nowhere else! The old GenConnect boards have been taken over by My Family (Ancestry) and they have completely redone the formatting! They have taken all the individual boards and rolled them into one huge mess! If you read my message on the website about the boards you will know that you have to register a user name and a password to be able to use the boards. The reason they are doing this is so if you change your email address, they can change it on all previously posted queries etc. I have been maintaining all the Query boards and Wills, Obits etc. for all three of my Counties but with this new system, I just don't know. I'm having as much trouble as everyone else trying to use these things! Please tell everyone to be patient and not get upset. Unfortunately, I have no way of making it different or better! I will certainly do what I can to help folks with this transition but I'm afraid I can't change it back to the way it was before! As far as lost posts... they tell me they are not lost and can be found if the right keyword is entered! I think they still have a ton of bugs to work out! But please, don't stop sending me things for the website cause like I said before... they are two entirely different animals <g> And if anyone else needs help, just yell! I'll do what I can. 1. Ancestry to raise prices.
    2. Janice
    3. Nice of them to give us a TWO DAY notice!! And it was buried in the middle of the Rootsweb review ad section... ANCESTRY SUBSCRIPTION PRICES TO RISE JUNE 15. SIGN UP NOW TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF LOWER RATES. Ancestry.com hasn't raised prices in years. In that time we've worked hard to bring more than 3,000 databases online; some of them available only at Ancestry.com. Anyone who subscribes before June 15 will still get current rates: $59.95 for annual data subs and $19.95 for quarterly. If you get annual subs for census and data, it's $99 for both -- a $20 savings. After June 15th, rates rise to $69.95 for an annual subscription and $24.95 for quarterly. In an ideal world, everyone would work for free and we wouldn't have to charge money for anything. However, these subscriptions keep the lights on and the servers humming happily at Ancestry and RootsWeb -- so thank you for any support you can provide through purchasing subscriptions or other offerings. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 3. Posted on: Adair County Ky. Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ky/Adair/12974 Surname: ------------------------- Thomas, I am a member of the Adair County Genealogy Society. I would love to speak with you. I understand your wanting to send the info to LDS, but we would love to have copies as well. Can you do this? I can see about making arrangements to pay you for the cost of copies before you send. I hope I am not too late in sending this--my email has been off line and was just now able to read your message regarding what to do with it. We have an extensive library of research by surname and I know anyone of that family would be grateful for the items that you have. This would be an excellent way to preserve your fathers efforts (and as a fellow researcher I certainly know what an effort it was!) Please consider this before you pass all of the information on to the LDS. I really think it would benefit more people here as folks travel from all around the country to come here and do their research for families from this area. I also do research for those who are not able to come here and I know that this is used more extensively by those researching this area that the LDS is at that requires going to Utah to get at the actual hard copies and then the people would still have to come here for government records--sending copies here as well would help out by providing "one stop shopping" so to speak. Thank you for considering my plea!--Angella Watson PS--you may go to my webpage and find a phone number and address if you need them to contact me.
