    1. The Identity of a Mrs. John Pendleton
    2. Does anyone have documentation for the maiden name of Elizabeth, wife of John Pendleton? All records I have seen indicate only that her name is Elizabeth. John and Elizabeth were enumerated in the 1850 Adair County, Kentucky census. After Elizabeth's death, John married Mary Brunner Adkins.

    1. Re: James Allen Hurt/Nancy Bell England
    2. Hi Eric, I am really glad to hear from you. Since I posted the May message, I have found out a lot. James Hurt m Catherine Shaw. Their son John A. Hurt m Martha Jane Smith. Children: James Allen Hurt, John Hurt, Kitty Hurt. Kitty m. John Gosser. Their daughter Mattie J. (Martha) m. Turner J. Poland. John A. Hurt was struck by lightening before 1880 leaving a very young widow (She was 14 when they married) alone with 3 children. John carved hair combs out of deer horn and sold them in a nearby town. He was carrying his tools when he was struck and killed. I know that Charlotte Shaw was Issac Hurt's 2nd or 3rd wife. I was also told that Catherine and Charlotte's father's name was Ank Shaw. I have much info about Hurt's. I would be glad to share. Spraytown, In is about 50 miles north of Louisville. Near Seymour and Columbus ( look at I 65). I have the names of James and Catherine's children. Thanks to one of our cousins who is 86 years old and lives in Burke! sville. Joyce Borowski.

    1. Re: James Allen Hurt/Nancy Bell England
    2. Hey Joyce, i am descended from Catharine Shaw's brother Jacob (who I have nothing on) and I am interested in the Hurts also. I have a list of both those surnames, I can send it to you and you can send what you have, maybe we can help each other. Your James Allen Hurt was probably their grandson, since they were married in 1835. I do not know the names of their children, just approximate birth and death dates. Do you have that information? I knew someone had been killed by lightning but I thought it was another Hurt. I am looking for James Hurts parents and brothers and sisters and their descendants. Some of my Shaws moved to Indiana also. Where is Spraytown?? Let me know and I will send you what I have. Thanks! Eric Stamper

    3. Hi! This is not lonely cry in the wilderness! Our Goodson group has been complaining about the same stuff and more... The request for IDs & passwords & the claim by MyFamily that MyFamily owns whatever has been posted on family sites! Submitters are not allowed to remove anything they have put up. I'm paraphrasing, but I think that hits most of the highlights.
