My line is: Jane Gentry married Alexander Hardin Singleton Hardin married Martha Evans Alexander Franklin Hardin (Civil War) married Lyda Breeding Maud Hardin married William Joseph Mills Myrtle Mills married Earl Hollingsworth (my grandparents) Alexander Franklin "Frank" Hardin moved his family to Union Co., KY. I have a photocopy of his widow's pension file. I really do not know much about the life of Nicholas Gentry, Jane's father. I wonder why Jane was born in Ohio as according to the 1850 Census of Adair Co., KY. Is Nicholas' wife Sarah Dickens? Did Nicholas really have 21 kids by 2 marriages? Thanks, Rose I will exchange what I have.

    3. For what its worth.... In the late 1700s there were Neats in Neatsville in Casey County, Kentucky. In the early 1800s some of their descendants moved on to Winchester in Scott county Illinois. There they founded the Neats Bank which still exists.
