She died Aug 30, 1912 in Adair County. They are listed with 3 children in the 1860 Census for Adair County and later had several other children. I know nothing of her parents. I have reason to believe that my GGrandmother Serena or Cirena, or Cyrena may be one of them. On her marriage records, it states that her Mother was an Emily, no Father listed. If she is who I think she is, Logan died in 1848. I would appreciate any information that you can give me. Inda Mickley Inda Mickley

    3. Hi List, I had asked about a Cemetery called CHEATHAM, I couldn't find it anywhere and thought maybe it was the wrong name. Thanks to a reply I received it was the right Cemetery. By the info below I'm thinking it's a tiny Cemetery on this person land. Do any of you on the list live near this place? Or know the TAYLOR's? Joseph EAST below was married (2nd) to Nancy (____) RODGERS/ROGERS. I can't seem to find out what Nancy's maiden name is. Joseph EAST died before Nancy and I'm wondering why he is buried there?????? How was Joseph EAST connected to this Cemetery? Was CHEATHAM Nancy's maiden name? or was one of the children married to a CHEATHAM? If you know anything about this Cemetery on TAYLOR's land or live near it please e-mail me. I would love to know of any other names in the Cemetery hoping maybe it will give me a clue about Nancy or her ( 1st ) husband (_____) RODGERS/ROGERS. Thank You, Theresa CEMETERIES OF ADAIR COUNTY, KENTUCKY, VOL. 7. Compiled by Michael C. Watson. Published by the Adair County Genealogical Society, Columbia, KY, 1989. Page 76. They had about twelve children, one of whom was Catherine, called Caty, after John's sister Catherine who married Jacob Hite. Caty married Joseph Nelson Dec. 23, 1771. They had several children, but the only one I have done any work on was a son, James Nelson, Sr. who married Elizabeth O'Bannon Feb 11, 1795, daughter of William O'Bannon and Anne Neville. Your Joseph could possibly be a brother of James Nelson.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RAB.2ACI/2553.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Shirley, Here is the order of my connection to the Banks. My earliest Banks is Vandiver and wife, Elizabeth Wolford. Martin W. Banks was the youngest of their children, born ca 1810 in Adair Co, KY, I believe. Martin married 2nd wife, Matilda Busby, d/o Matthew Busby and Seluda Tinsley Busby in 1841, Adair Co, KY. First wife, Mary F. Guy had died earlier leaving 4 children, Benjamin, John, Samuel and Elizabeth. Martin and Matilda had only one child, my ggmother, Mary Margaret Banks, born April 15, 1842 in Adair Co. Martin died ca 1843, burial location unknown. One of Martin's brothers named a son Martin which has caused some confusion at times in searching the records. There seems to be some confusion and conflicting information as to how the elder Vandiver's direct ancestor line flows.
