This Bible was a gift from her father and would have to have been given to her before 1939. She read it through several times and each time she wrote somewhere in the Bible the date that she finished it. She also calculated many times on the pages how many years her mother had been dead. I would like to think that this meant that she missed her mother and grieved for her many years after her passing. This was the Bible of Sallie Mae (Finn) Faulkner in the possession of Henry Clay Faulkner, her son. Transcribed by her grandaughter, Wanda Bagby Carlson. I have the 1850, 1870, and 1880 Adair county census'. Brenda Vanasses (I always spell her name wrong, sorry Brenda) got me started on the right track. I found some information in the 1860 Mortality schedule. Sandi Goren on the SCKY list has posted most of the Adair county marriages and I have paid special attention to the Bryant's. I also have lucked into some contact with the descendants of later generations. I exchanged info with a lady who was descended from the Perry County, Indiana Bryant's and she corrected me on lots of that info. Another descendant corrected some of the information I had on Rachael Bryant and Peter DeMoss in Ohio. I even found another ancestor on my mother's side that made a deposition on Peter DeMoss's will. I found another Bryant descendant that filled me in on the Bryant's that went to Arkansas. I was researching the Frankum family that went to Missouri and ran into descendant! s of Bryant's that went with them. Other sources of information comes from Ancestry and USGENWEB. USGENWEB seems to be falling apart lately though. I have found some information by looking at the in-law sides. The DeMoss family had lots of info, but wasn't looking too hard at the Bryant factors. They filled in some blanks. Even found some Bryant descendants that went to Texas. The book of Bryant family that Aaron Pyles wrote (it's in the Adair county library) has some major errors that have been passed down through the generations. I don't claim my info is error free and I don't have ACTUAL birth, death or marriage certificates, but I like to gather the information and then prove it with verified sources later. I have more info on later generations, but three generations were starting to get too lengthy.

Just in passing, there were three (3) Belzoni/Belzona, all female, the third born about 1884, daughter of Nancy Powell.

I had Judd descendants that lived on a farm behind there. There was a man (last name Bean) that lived behind the Dairy Queen and next door to my mother about 10 years ago and he told me that he could look out his front window and see Milton William Judd's headstone and it is where the Wal-Mart's back entrance is now (paved service area). I remember about 15 years ago when visiting Adair County Library there were some articles when the construction of Wal-Mart started in reference to graves being discovered.. I am concerned about that these graves and why they cannot be located and just trying to find out where they are. I have heard from the Columbia City Clerk/Treasurer (Jane Akin Keltner) and she stated that in talking to members of the community they do remember a JUDD cemetery and when they began construction of the Wal-Mart they ran into the graves but by the time they realized it they were to damaged.. my question and concern is if they knew there were graves there and they were damaged why didn't they erect some type of memorial in reference to the graves instead of continuing construction.. those were my ancestors my great great grandpa Milton WIlliam Judd and his family are buried there. My mother lives in Breeding and has talked with a few people in reference to the cemetery in Columbia. There are suppose to be about 5 Judd's buried there. I am just trying to locate the cemetery so we can have a military momument erected and Washington DC said they have to have a confirmed location to put the headstone/momument. My great grandma Mary "Mollie" Judd Hawkins is the daughter of Milton William Judd and Sara C. Floyd Judd's who I know are 2 of the family members buried there. I have been in contact with Mary Ann Dailey with the KY Attorney Generals Office, Ann Johnson and Karla Nicholson concerning this matter. I am wanting to find the article that was in the paper about the construction being haulted during the time of Wal-Mart's construction.. They lived in Adair county My grand father was born in 1912. I have searched for death records for her and came up with zero. I also searched for James Redmon but there are so many. My grandmother "lida Redmon" has passed away so I am sending off for her SS application to hopefully receive the correct spelling of her parents names maybe if I am lucky to get a middle initial. I do remember from my childhood that there is a small family cemetary that was bought by someone in the family in columbia Ky but haven't found any info there either. I am just starting out & already I am pulling my hair out~~
