patricia, there were bridges in desoto and or tate co ms . john bridges married my grandmother's half sister, sallie edwards. sally was born in 1875. johns father was some kind of law official in desoto county i was told by kyle family members. i cannot give you the year. i do not know anything else about them but i do have a family picture made when their children were teenagers. i do know there were people that came to north mississippi from kentucky and tennessee. my wolfe family from todd co. ky, and my kyle family from tennessee. i wish i couls give you more detail but you may be able to find something in the desoto county censuses. ruth wolfe wilson---searching kyle, key, wolfe, martin
I am interested in some information on your Sally Edwards. I have a Minnie Florence Edwards and a Bess Edwards who where sisters, and married my John Bridges! After Minnie died, John Bridges married Bess. Minnie was born 1893, and Bess 1901 They are both the daughters of Sara Hopper/Edwards, and Sam Edwards alias Bud Jones of TN. This seems too wild to be a connection, must be just a coincidence, but worth checking out and sharing!
