Mary Jane's parents are James Short and Elzira (Doolin) Short. The 1850 census for the following counties have been reviewed, no joy: Clay, Harlan, Knox, Pulaski, Russell, Wayne & Whitley Counties. Wondering if anyone holding the 1850 census for other KY counties would mind reviewing their data to see if any of the above individuals are cited. Particularly nterested in Taylor County, as we have an odd reference to Mary being from "Taylor, KY."
