I am looking for traces of my great grandfather Katon ( not sure of spelling) Hughes who lived somewhere in Kentucky and moved to or at least was in Quincy, (Adams County) Illinois. While there a son, James Monroe Hughes, was born either in 1858 or 1859. James Monroe finally moved to Arkansas. I realize this isn't much to go on, but I know very little about Katon Hughes including his wife's name although it is believed she was of Indian blood.
