I'm looking for the parents of John Rose born 1761 in Harrison County, Virginia (now West Virginia). He married Rebekah Bowen born 1763, d/o David Bowen & Hannah Davis. John & Rebekah lived in Harrison County, Virginia until around 1800 when they moved to Fayette County, Pennsylvania. They left Pennsylvania about 1803 and moved to Eastern Kentucky. In 1804, John Rose purchased land in Floyd and Montgomery Counties, Kentucky. The family settled in Stillwater, Wolfe County, Kentucky where both John & Rebekah died. She in 1835, and he in 1843. Children were Robert Rose, b. 1782; Rachel Rose, b. 1783; David Bowen Rose, b. 1785; John Jackson Rose, Jr., b. 1791; Samuel Rose, b. 1793; Bowen David Rose, b. 1794; Israel George Rose, b. 1798; Rebekah Rose, b. after 1800; & Powell Rose, b. 1802.
