    2. Marian, Well now, you just added a new twist. With all of these new possibilities it all gets so mind boggling. You just made me think of something. That brings me back to Gale aka Galen aka Galey TURNER death and birth dates. Death on marker says 1923, hmm on his wife's funeral papers 24 years later it has that he died 18 years ago, well now that would be 1929 not 1923, so who's right? The marker or the person who gave the information on the wife's funeral papers? Now see Marion, you may have just brought up a new clue for me. I just somehow took the marker as being the only correct one. It was indeed a definite date to me and that was that. ( / blinders on \ ) Dear, dear Marian, now you got my mind just a spinning! How in the world do we try to be good genealogist / seekers of the lost and unknown? I low in thinking that how messed up the census really is. I for one started out innocent, believing that what I saw was so correct by the mouths of our ancestors and the person who so carefully tried to write the information on the census. Then little by little I find out that this is not true. Blinders still creep up and grasp my sight, forgetting that what I see is not what I always get. It helps when people like you share your experiences and stories. It takes off the blinders again till the next new surname, new county or new state. I seem to put the blinders on when I go into a new area or new surname. But thank goodness for all of you kind hearted people who help me with my history. I may never be a great seeker of the dead, but I am thankful for all of you. God Bless Pam
