Hello Ms.Thompson I am also new to this mailing list. I am just starting to research my husband side of the family. His father side is being research my others in the family and I too will research his father side at a later date. But, no one to my knowledge is researching his mother side and that is where I will begin. I can see why because this is very confusing and I hope I can explain it a little better than it was explain to me. I see that you are researching the RASNER surname. As my husband grandmother was Mary Lou GIBBONS and she was married to a Mr. John RASNER. I am told that they had a son name Louis RASNER b. May 12, 1913 and that his mother was Louis's sister, but I have some papers from Barren County, Kentucky. One set is Depositions taken for Burch RASNER and PEARL RASNER, this is the deposition of W.S. RASNER saying they were married. I also I have from Jefferson County Courthouse, In Kentucky a Marriage Bond saying that Burch RASNER and Omie Pearl BEARX were married on Oct. 31, 1920, so I do not believe that Omie Pearl RASNER / BEARX. (b.Jan 30,1908) was a sister to Louis. My husband surname is SOWARD. There is alot of conflicts information here and I am having a little bit of trouble reading this pile of papers. This all started with the married of John RASNER and Mary Lou GIBBONS It just came to me that Louis RASNER could be a step sister and that Omie married a RASNER also. I really need to learn more on thee RASNER's. I am hoping that you might be in the position to help or guild me around this RASNER family a little bit. Any help would be deeply appreciate. I will be happy to share any of the information that I have with you.
