Sandy, have you tried the funeral home record --which is different info from the death certificate........... My father died Greenup Co. KY in 1955 --------the record of funeral at the funeral home contained his SS#...........plus a ton of other info..........of course in this case I already had those facts contained on the record. (Now if we could only go back to the mid-1840's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Call, or go to the funeral home..................the record of funeral should be readily available.
