There used to a ferry crossing right at Augusta in Bracken County. As a matter of fact it was still there in 1960's. Sandra Griffett Winchester H.R. Do any of you know where........on the Ohio River......there were bridges and, or ferry crossings in the early 1800's between Portsmouth and Augusta or in other words Adams County, Ohio and Lewis County, Kentucky. It would be interesting to know just where my folks would have crossed back and forth between their kin and business affairs seeing as how they had marriages, births, property owned, etc. on both sides of the River. Thanks, Polly

I am researching my father's side of the family and I can't seem to find anything on William Stewart married to Bettie May (possibly Elizabeth). William and Bettie had a son, my grandfather William A. Stewart b. 1879 and d. 1966, William A. married Mollie Gullion in 1908 in Carroll Co. They had 3 children Francis, Warren and Essie B. married to Edward Reynolds. If anyone can help me on William Stewart it would be greatly appreciated.
