Abner CHAPMAN m Phebe CARTER Caroline Co., Va. 1809. Her brother Goodloe CARTER signed the marriage bond. Abner and family moved to Woodford Co., Ky He is not listed on 1840 census but son died in 1839 and Abner and family evidently were in Woodford Co. because son mentions my gggrandmother Malvena Chapman HAGAR in his will. Her husband Upton HAGAR was also mentioned. Malvena's son David HAGAR married Caroline Frances HUMPHRIES in Champaign Co., Illinois. Malvena is buried in Arcola, Illinois, but I do not know when Abner and Phebe died, and where. Dorothy
