    3. Lynn, I think it is a great disservice to remove Dennis from your list. His only thoughts were to ask help for a fellow geneaologists. If we can't take time to help someone then what is the use. I believe you could have used a little tact. I hope when your time comes to ask for help that you find some of us caring people here to help. I understand you are following your rules. 3. Lynn Connor: Rules are meant for breaking for a good reason. I know lists need rules but Dennis Stein's message was because he cares--perhaps she got words of encouragement and help. I think you were wrong for deleting Dennis Stein from the list for being a caring individual. We, too, have had several friends with the same brain tumor problem, one of which hurried into the operation, and now is almost a vegetable. She was only 42, her kids lost a loving and caring Mom to one that can hardly walk, had to learn how to eat, talk and walk all over. Perhaps his message was not genealogy, but it was for a Genealogist --and can't we take a minute from Genealogy to care for someone else. I responded to the Susan for her to get A GOOD DOCTOR AND SEVERAL OPINIONS BEFORE ATTEMPTING THE OPERATION. We had two other friends that had the same problem and because the operation was done right on them, they are doing fine. Hopefully, my message will save her from a terrible disappointing life. We have learned that when the operation is done that if they only remain part of the tumor to remove the pressure so not to disturb or damage the brain stem, then then can go in later and remove more. This way, there is no brain damage. The lady that had the problem --her Dr. was in too big of a hurry for his vacation and did not take prior tests. He removed the entire tumor, picking it away from the brain stem and caused her brain damage, being paralyzed on one side and the rest. I think you should re-instate Dennis Stein as he meant well. 1. 7:30 AM REPORT - FROM LIST MOM
    2. Kathleen
    3. Dear List Members: It looks like the flood will miss each of you, unless there is a second wave that I don't know about, but it hit me with full force. I am not sure if and when it will be over but I have received and deleted hundreds and hundreds of bounced messages. It seems the messages you have posted since last Friday went into the system and stayed there and bounced. If you posted something to the list during that time, it needs to be re-posted. I have also received more than I can count requests to be subscribed and unsubscribed. I will work my way through these. I have to check each one of them to make sure it as it should be. This will take time. Thank you. As usual, you were willing to do all that was necessary to help make this list run smoothly. Your many messages of support touched me and gave me strength to deal with this mess on my side. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

    1. ONE MORE ITEM - REGARDING PROBLEM - FROM LIST MOM
    2. Kathleen
    3. One more item: In all of this mess, you might have been unsubscribed from a list by the system. I suggest you go to Password Central http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ and type in your e-mail address and ask for a list of mailing list you are subscribed to. You will receive it in just a few moments. This way, you can see if you have been unsubscribed from a list you do not want to be removed from. I can see this is going to be a long night. 1. IMPORTANT - FROM LIST MOM - PLEASE READ
    2. Kathleen
    3. There has been a major problem with certain lists on Rootsweb since last Friday. This list is one of the ones that was involved in the Crashed Server. We are again up and running. I have a favor to ask each of you. You are going to begin in a little while receiving all the messages that have been backing up in the system since last Friday. Please be understanding, USE YOUR DELETE KEY, yelling and screaming will not stop it. I am holding on for dear life. I will have messages coming to me from over 90 lists hitting me all at once along with bouncing messages and messages from those of you asking for help. Together we will get through this and look back on this day as the "Day of the Rootsweb Flood", and laugh. If you have asked to be unsubscribed, that request was most likely never received. Please understand that even if I unsubscribe you now, I cannot stop what you are going to receive. If the lists do not look the same, meaning the headers are gone. I will bo back and take care of that when this flood is over. Good luck and I look forward to getting back to normal when the sun is again shinning. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

    2. Sandy, I earlier posted two sites that had SSDX's, and I forgot to mention that one of them allows you to search by location. I put in a zip code and found several that I did not know where they died but if you know where there is place to put that too. This might help if there is a misspelling. Liesa
