Lynn, I think it is a great disservice to remove Dennis from your list. His only thoughts were to ask help for a fellow geneaologists. If we can't take time to help someone then what is the use. We, too, have had several friends with the same brain tumor problem, one of which hurried into the operation, and now is almost a vegetable. She was only 42, her kids lost a loving and caring Mom to one that can hardly walk, had to learn how to eat, talk and walk all over. Dear List Members: It looks like the flood will miss each of you, unless there is a second wave that I don't know about, but it hit me with full force. I am not sure if and when it will be over but I have received and deleted hundreds and hundreds of bounced messages. It seems the messages you have posted since last Friday went into the system and stayed there and bounced. If you posted something to the list during that time, it needs to be re-posted. One more item: In all of this mess, you might have been unsubscribed from a list by the system. I suggest you go to Password Central http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ and type in your e-mail address and ask for a list of mailing list you are subscribed to. You will receive it in just a few moments. This way, you can see if you have been unsubscribed from a list you do not want to be removed from. I can see this is going to be a long night. There has been a major problem with certain lists on Rootsweb since last Friday. This list is one of the ones that was involved in the Crashed Server. We are again up and running. I have a favor to ask each of you. You are going to begin in a little while receiving all the messages that have been backing up in the system since last Friday. Sandy, I earlier posted two sites that had SSDX's, and I forgot to mention that one of them allows you to search by location. I put in a zip code and found several that I did not know where they died but if you know where there is place to put that too. This might help if there is a misspelling. Liesa
