I am researching Wainscott, Winscott, Elrod and Razor families who lived in central and northern KY starting in the 1780s. They moved there from NC. Sue S.

Zachary Taylor Cummins b. 1852 in Jefferson Co, and married Rebecca Welsh. they were both in the 1900 Census. But only Rebecca was there in the 1910, and she was listed as a widow. I'm wonder if any one had came acrosss his name, and when he died? . His parent were Joseph F and Mineva Rhodes Cummins. She died 2nd Nov. 1921 as a widow, and buried in Penn Runn Cem. "Bess" , probablly Elizabeth Cummins Stivers. Zachary & Rebecca's older daughter. She married Leonard Stivers, and lived in Valley Station , Ky . She signed the death cert for her mother in Nov. 1921 when Rebecca died. I'd certainly appreciate any help. Having the records of Penn Runn not available till after 1937 is rough. Nancy S. Lloyd

It doesn't appear that you are this far back as of this date but just had to pass this info on to you. The surname "Logsdon" is a very rare one in my researches but I do have one in my background. Mary Logsdon ( 1751-1826) married Joseph Pryor (1753-1813) in Va. most likely around Carolinia County. They moved to Bourbon County, Ky and Joseph died there. My ancester, Thornton Pryor is one of their sons. I am looking for traces of my great grandfather Katon ( not sure of spelling) Hughes who lived somewhere in Kentucky and moved to or at least was in Quincy, (Adams County) Illinois. While there a son, James Monroe Hughes, was born either in 1858 or 1859. James Monroe finally moved to Arkansas. I realize this isn't much to go on, but I know very little about Katon Hughes including his wife's name although it is believed she was of Indian blood.
