This he declined, choosing rather to take his chances under the stars and bars. He was killed at the battle of Chickamauga, and buried at Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta. Arrangements have been recently perfected for the removal of the body, which will now be buried on the HELM place, near Elizabethtown, Ky., where Gen.
