Pam, Yes, I am thinking since he is so hard to find that it might be a middle name or possible nickname. The only reason I am coming to that conclusion is that he can't be found anywhere as a child or with his family, especially being born in Warren County Kentucky. Also his wife signed her name on documents as Antha or Anthy TURNER. His named appeared as Gailey on documents. But according to Antha's Funeral Papers she was Elizabeth TURNER (maiden name Hazel), but on Census, her grave marker, papers she signed it was either Antha or Anthy. Because of that incident I figured Galey's name must be a middle name or nickname. He did not know how to read or write but his name appears on his son's birth certificate as Galey. On his grave marker Gale and on Antha's Funeral papers she is listed is also listed as Mrs. Galen TURNER. My aunts and uncles did not know him becasue he died at the age of 55 or so but say they remember his name spoken as Galen. So all in all I think it is a nickname or middle name. Hard one to find. I try to look for the dates of deaths and births close to his. But still have had no luck. Galen was a coalminer. I wonder if he died from some kind of coal mining accident, since he was young. Hope this helps. God Bless Pam
