Article Text: Preston SCOTT, colored, aged fifty-six years, died suddenly about twelve o'clock Wednesday night at his home, No. 9 Plunckett street. He had been complaining of ill health for several days. Wednesday night he retired, but was unable to sleep. He became suffocated and suffered intensely. Several times he got up to walk about the house in hopes that he might find relief. About midnight he fixed a place to sleep on the floor and laid down. In a short time he became worse and asked that medical aid be summoned. In a few moments he expired. Dr. P. H.
