Article Text: A runaway late yesterday afternoon came near resulting in a serious accident. Miss Nettie SMITH and her guest, Miss Stella SHAW were driving up North Broadway in the carriage of Mr. Byron MCCLELLAND, when one of the wheels came off. The horse became frightened, and the driver being unable to control it, ran out Broadway from Second to Fifth streets, where it was fortunately stopped by Mr. Charles STAPLES.
