Article Text: Danville, March 3.--A man, giving the name of John SCHAFER and his residence as Covington, was arrested at Corbin yesterday, charged with using the mails for fraudulent purposes. He was examined by the commissioner at London and held for further trial at Covington under $1,000 bond. SCHAFER it is alleged, was endeavoring to dispose of green goods at Corbin, and he is believed to be a smooth confidence man.
