Article Text: Edward COLES, an aged negro, died of heart disease while sitting on a beer keg in the rear room of Martin's Vine street saloon last night. The old negro was a heavy drinker and had come into Martin's place about 10 o'clock and gone to sleep sitting on the beer keg. At 11:30 o'cock when Mr. MARTIN was preparing to close up he attempted to wake the sleeper. When his calls did not arouse the old man he went over to where he was sitting to shake him. Instead of his being asleep, as was supposed, MARTIN found him rigid and cold in death. The police were notified who in turn notified Coroner MOLLOY.
