Death was attributed to a heart attack. He had been in bad health for over a year. He had not been confined permanently to his room but his condition was serious. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Orville. His funeral was conducted at the Methodist Church at Gest by his pastor, Rev. Bruce Stivers. Burial was in the cemetery near Gest. He is survived by his wife and many near relatives and friends.
