    1. [KY-CEM] Thank you List Administrator(s)
    2. Sue LU1880
    3. I'd like to thank all of the list administrators. Both those wanting to keep the lists on topic and those allowing limited or unlimited posts regarding the tragic events of September 11. Your efforts are not unappreciated even though you may have felt so, and I appreciate that you probably also felt/feel very conflicting emotions relating to your "duties" as list admins...being the helpers that you are. >From my own perspective, I have been totally paralyzed by the events of this week. Sinking into depression (not an unfamiliar state I'm afraid), unable to think at all, just consumed. I am a single mom with a son who will be 18 in less than two months. I know he has wanted to join the armed services for months. I am behind him but can't bring myself to talk about it now. On Thursday the place where I work had to be evactuated due to a bomb scare in a building near us. I was told this was a common occurance for them (medical supplies of all things) but we've never been affected before. That "scare" really brought everything closer to home. Then just today, not three miles from my house a private plane, not authorized to be in the air, crashed into a home. The 15 seconds between when the "Special Report" banner flashed on the TV (interrupting FoxNews) and when the reporter finally came on seemed like an eternity. I can't tell you how I felt. I haven't been able to do my own family history research. Any research I have done on the computer has been about terrorism, Islam, bin-Laden, and the like. I have only managed to do a few lookups but I want to continue as this helps me "wake up" a little and take my mind off other things for a while. My TV stays on in another room...I just can't turn it off...but I can get on my computer in another room, look for lookups to do and be ok for a while. Those of you feeling in any way guilty for requesting a lookup during this time, just know that you could actually be helping someone like me. To anyone reading this that doesn't like what I've said: My feelings are my own and I'm good with the delete key. Love to all and may we all have peace in our countries and in our hearts.
