Thomas & Carolyn, I went to check on the cemetery. The directions given were very helpful, but unfortunately the cemetery is no longer there. I found the creek and when was unable to find the cemetery I started asking neighbors about it. Apparently the cemetery was moved quite a few years ago. According to the people I talked to they came out an dug up all the graves and boxed them up for re-burying in a different cemetery. They could not tell me which cemetery that they moved it to, but I suspect it was the South Jefferson Cemetery. The land that the cemetery was on once belonged to the McCrawley's. At South Jefferson they have the removals from the "McCrawley" Cemetery. There are over a hundred graves but most all of them are marked as unknown. The person whom I talked to said that the cemetery was vandalized quite a bit before they moved it. ~Alan
