He is described as light complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, and 5 ft. 7 1/4 inches in height. His place of residence is listed as Jessamine Co. KY He was a Pvt. in Co. D 2nd Kentucky Cavalry. He was moved from Louisville Military Prison to Camp Morton, Indianapolis, on 18 October 1863. Jesse was listed on prisoner rolls from Military Prison, Louisville, KY to Camp Morton, Indianapolis, IN until he took the oath in 1865 after the war ended. These are the battles that Jesse was in. Alexander was the only one of his sons that was in the war and he was wounded at Chickamauga in October 1963.
