The menbership roll for the Big Sinking Baptist Church includes an Elizabeth Bates. I had an aunt in Wayne County named Crissy Elizabeth Staton who married a Bates and died in the early 1890's at about 20 years of age. I do not know her husabnd's given name. I would like to hear from anyone who knows about this Elizabeth Bates. If she was not a STATON, I will continue my search. Bill
