    1. County Judge Executive
    2. H.D.
    3. I had the term mixed up, it's County Judge Executive. Counties are the basic unit of government in Kentucky. And the county legislative body is the fiscal court, who is chaired by an elected County Judge Executive, sort of like the county's CEO (chief executive officer). This individual goes by the title Judge, but actually has no judical powers. The Judge Executive oversees the county's business and financial affairs. Local government is done a little differently here in the Commonwealth. But, it works just fine, the roads are paved, water is treated, garbage is picked up, and taxes are collected. I don't regret crossing the river at all. I enjoy living in Kentucky. And you do know, of course, that Kentucky owns the Ohio River, right? ----- Original Message ----- From: <KY-CEMETERIES-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: <KY-CEMETERIES-D@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 23, 2005 2:00 AM Subject: KY-CEMETERIES-D Digest V05 #48
