Bill, rather than me confusing you with my limited knowledge, I suggest you go to http://users.rcn.com/deeds/metes.htm where there's a pretty good explanation of it. Coming from Ohio, where they use the township method and having had surveys done there during property purcheases, it was a little difficult for me to understand property descriptions down here.
