They both died around 1827 in Daviess County KY near Knottsville KY. At the time they owned 250 acres of land there and both died pretty close together in time. I'm assuming they are both buried on the farm they owned. Are could be buried in the St Lawrence Church Cemetery. But they are not included on the Cemetery list. At present I do not know the exact location of the farm they owned near Knottsville. The deed says one boundry is the Old Hardinsburg Road. Any help sure would be appreciated. Thanks Bob O'Flyn of Sorgho KY.

Surnames: Lee Wiley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wS.2ADIAE/384.4.1 Message Board Post: I looked in the Versailles Cemetery book, the Woodford County Rural and Church Cemetery book and the Midway Cemetery book and did not find anything for those names. There are four Lee's buried in the Midway Presbyterian Church - Ellen 1867-1957; John S. 1867-1945; Mayner W. 1917-1950; Rev. Stephen 1848-1910. Also found where a J. Lee is listed as the guardian of John Goore(Gore) for a marriage between John and Eliza Pates 29 Dec. 1834. Reuben Pates is the father of Eliza. This was in the Woodford County Kentucky Marriage Bonds and Consents 1831-1861. There are several Lee families listed in the 1900 census book. Sorry I could not be more helpful. If they are "in the weeds" as you said, it is possible that no one has read their stones. Do you have any idea where? There is a local cemetery restoration group and they would be interested in locating. Susan Susan

    3. I would think that you would have to find someone in the area that the cemetery is located, have a photo taken again to double check that there isn't a Q. Then get in touch with the person who put the tombstone up in question and explain what happen. Then offer to pay for the correction to the tombstone. I would think that whoever bought the tombstone owns the tombstone. I know that I would be upset if I visit a family grave and found changes to the tombstone I bought. Just a thought.

Eastern Standard Time, KY-CEMETERIES-D-request@rootsweb.com writes: I noticed that my g-g-grandfather's name is misspelled - they have a middle initial of O, but it should be Q. I have all the documentation to support the fact that it should be Q. The marker has obviously been replaced, given its condition and the date of death 1903. According to the gentleman who maintains the website, someone by the name of Clyde Hart probably was the one responsible for replacing it, using his own money during the 1970s. So my question is... How can I go about having the marker corrected? Can I simply contact a local monument company and have them do it? If so, could anyone recommend a trustworthy company? I live too far away to investigate myself. Thank you, Kevin Arnold http://arnold-history.org I would think since it would just take adding a simple slash to the O to correct the problem, that you could contact a local monument company and they`d be able to send someone out to easily correct the problem, unless there`s more than that that needs fixed, such as changing a date. Shouldn`t be too costly either. Shelli
