    3. I live in a small town in another state and Kentucky death certificate records are not at my "local library", but I sure wish they were! So, I for one am appreciative of these postings by individuals who are willing to do the research for those in the same situation as myself. I would rather pay $1.50 ea. rather than $6.00 ea. because I can obtain 4 certificates for the price of one. Thank you list mom for letting the postings stand. Subj: Re: [KY-CEM] KY Death Certificates 1911-1950 Date: 1/26/02 9:55:30 PM Central Standard Time From: [email protected] (Mary Bishop) To: [email protected] The certificates that were $6.00 were new ones from the Health Department They cost me that much I was just going to pick it up for her because I had some of my own to pick up The others I was charging 1.50 each I think you apology needs to be on the site thats where you tried to make a fool of me. Mary, that was not my intention to make a fool of you! I have already apologized to you personally and to the list owner what more do you want? Below is a copy of a letter that I sent to Kathleen regarding this situation, her reply follows. Subj: Can of Worms regarding KY Death Certificates Date: 1/26/02 5:40:31 PM Central Standard Time From: CBaumberge To: [email protected] Kathleen ~ wanted to apologize for opening up a can of worms, I saw that Mary Bishop had stated that 1948-1950 Kentucky death certificates were not available on microfilm yet and folks would have to order the certified one at $6.00 each, that however was incorrect. I do have access to 1948-1950 on microfilm and charge a nominal fee and have done so for some time now, before that doing them for free! A friend and customer put out my info on the list and got back quite a tacky reply from Mary Bishop [email protected] which really upset her! (Sandi has posted for you to personally respond back to her) I don't believe the list should be cluttered with personal business and slamming of others, as is your policy. NOTICE: Posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, etc., (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. Thank you ~ Cheri Subj: Re: Can of Worms regarding KY Death Certificates Date: 1/26/02 5:50:58 PM Central Standard Time From: [email protected] (Kathleen Burnett) To: [email protected] I just sent a message to the list. 3. Dear List Members, please read the following: 1. I have no problem with one of our members picking up death certificates for other members of this list for the cost she pays for them. There is no profit to her. 2. I have no problem with you posting to the list the name and death date of the person you are interested in because this give the other members on the list a person's name and date and someone might connect to them. 3. If you have any further communication with the volunteer who is picking up the death certificate for you, such as instructions etc., county, number of copies, this posting is to be sent to the volunteer personally NOT TO THE ENTIRE LIST! 4. If you are unhappy that I am allowing this, contact me personally [email protected] Please do not begin a debate on the list regarding if me allowing this is right or wrong. I appreciate your willingness to allow this service that is helping so many of our members. Remember, it will be allowed as long as there is NO Profit to the volunteer. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

    3. Mary, How can we find out which counties? I have been looking for my grandfather who died May 2, 1906 in Hearin, Union or Webster County, KY. I was told he was buried in Rock Springs Cemetery in Wheatcroft near there. Do you have any suggestions as to how I might find his death certificate? Any help apprreciated.
