    3. Notice WADDLE. My grandmother was a Shearer. You asked about the kind of plant I was offering, and I think I replied that it is a tree about 25 feet tall which blooms and has pink seed pods that look like Chinese lanterns. I do not remember whether you confirmed that you want any. I have a few for you and/or your kids. Bill

    3. Robie, I sent you the exact information that I found in the Cemetery Iconography. I typed it word for word. Go to http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~txcemeteries/symbol.htm. I hope this helps, it has a lot of information. There is another page that has meanings of carvings on tombstones, http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcoryel/insc.htm I have a book that I keep with all of these wonderful searching aides, printed out, so that I can quick reference, without waiting on the computer to bring them up.     3. According to the Association of Gravestone Studies, I.O.O.F. = Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Odd Fellows used the three links of a chain meaning, F.L.T. which is usually inside the three links of a chain. It stands for friendship, love and truth. They have three degrees also. Also they use a hand with a heart in it for Charity as do the Masons. I hope this is the answer to your question. Pat Durham McRae

    3. On my GGG Uncle's headstone above his name has a 3 piece chain link engraved over his name.Was curious if this might mean something? It had me curious I know sometimes clubs or organization will put their signs on a headstone.Thanks for any help provided.-Robie Prater

I'd like to get a photo if possible. John Darby McIntyre-came from County Down or Tyrone Irleand. Landed in PA. Married two girls named Mary. I don't have their maiden names.When Darby arrived, he landed in Pennsylvania and then worked his way down to Kentucky in a place that I am told no longer exists. Hunnewell Furnace.
