He is the son of Lazarus KUNKEL and Margaret FORNEY. David was married to Charity "Mary" FORD on 15 December 1892 in Columbiana County, OHIO. She was born: 13 June 1874 in Dogtown, Barbour County, West Virginia. David KUNKEL and "Mary" FORD had 11 known children: 1) May Esther KUNKEL born: 10 November 1893 in Dungannon, Hanover Twp, Columbiana Co, Ohio. She married Harmon D. CHAMBERS on 23 July 1913. They had 3 children: Ruth Evelyn; Irene Naomi; and Richard Joseph CHAMBERS. 2) Minnie Margaret KUNKEL, born: 26 April 1895 in Dungannon, Hanover Twp, Columbiana Co, Ohio. She married Lester L. MIZER on 26 April 1923. They had three children: Doris Maye; Audrey Lucille, and Wayne Eugene MIZER. 3)Ida Marie KUNKEL, born 12 August 1896 in Dungannon, Hanover Twp, Columbiana Co, Ohio. She died: 29 February 1916 and is buried in Trinity Reformed Church cemetery, Dungannon, Ohio. 4) George Lewis KUNKEL, born: 22 October 1897, in Dungannon, Ohio. He married Mary J. STRATTON on 21 July 1919. She was born in ALliance, Stark Co, Ohio. They had 3 children: Dillon Lewis; David Elmer and Helen Elizabeth KUNKEL. 5) Anna Catharine KUNKEL, born 18 March 1900 in Dungannon, Ohio. She married (1) James HOLMES on 04 June 1919. She married (2) Raymond BENNER. He was born in Canton, Stark Co, Ohio. She married (3) John MORRIS. She had one known child by her first husband - Vernon Leroy HOLMES. 6) Lillie Jane KUNKEL, born 12 March 1902 in Dungannon, Hanover Township, Columbiana County, Ohio. She married Robert EDWARDS on 23 October 1922. He was born in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
