MISSING ISSUES Yes, you are missing one. I'm sorry but a whole lot of people got messed up on my database program and you must have been one of them. I do apologize, and I can get the July issue (it was out late, too, in Sept.) in Monday's mail. Hang on for Dec issue, as it is in the works and has some good Conkle stuff in it. CONKLES of FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO As for your Henry, I have a specific question. Ref: Page 382 of Vol 2 of Ohio Vital Records (looks like it's from FTM, but it's a copy of the original page, I think.) Shows "Cemetery Records" by FA Livingston, Methodist Hill Cemetery, Reynoldsburg OH in Franklin Co. [This will be in the Dec/"Fall"(!) issue of Spindle, by the way.] Lists these Conkles: (1) Henry Conkle. Co. F., 1st Ohio Calvery (should be spelled Cavalry, eh?) (2) Adam Conkle. Co. A, 88th Ohio Infantry. (3) Rebecca T. dau. M. A. Conkle. Died Mar. 25th, 1864. aged 5 yrs. 3 mo. 14 ds. Now, my question of you & list in general, is this: Why would my National Archives order have come back negative for Henry Conkle? When I saw the copy of this listing, I sent away immediately for the veterans records. Perhaps the Adam Conkle file is on its way, but the Henry Conkle paperwork came back. I am thinking it is because I didn't use the correct spelling. Does anyone have suggestions? Or, better yet, perhaps someone has this ancestor and perhaps even the records. Can anyone verify the "Co. F, 1st OH Cavalry" and "Co. A, 88th Ohio Inf."? At 10:28 PM 12/17/1998 EST, you wrote: >Dear Janet, > >I've been missing those wonderful Spindles that I have been enjoying for >several years.
