Nicolaus2 Kunkel ((--?--)1); born 1677 at Florsbach, Germany; married Elizabeth (--?--) 1700;i died 14 May 1723. Florsbach is 30 miles east of Frankfurt. Elizabeth (--?--) was born in 1681. She died on 20 Mar 1732. Children of Nicolaus2 Kunkel and Elizabeth (--?--) were as follows: 3 i. Martin3, born circa 1702 at Germany; married Magdalene Lindenberg; married Anna Margarethe Schuster. ii. Hans Michael; born 1708; died 1 Jun 1729. iii. Johan Peter; born circa 1709. iv. Anna Margarethe; born 12 Dec 1718; died 22 Feb 1719. v. Johan Eberhard; born 12 Dec 1722. Emigrated to PA in 1748. vi. Lorenz; born circa 1724; died 22 Jun 1725. Generation Three 3. Martin3 Kunkel (Nicolaus2, (--?--)1); born circa 1702 at Germany;ii married Magdalene Lindenberg circa 1728; married Anna Margarethe Schuster, daughter of George Schuster, circa 1741.iii He was a Brewer and Inn-Keeper. Magdalene Lindenberg was born on 15 Aug 1700. She died on 15 Nov 1771 at age 71. Children of Martin3 Kunkel and Magdalene Lindenberg were as follows: i. Anna Margarethe4; born 1730; died 10 Aug 1733. ii. Johannes; born 29 Jun 1735; died 25 Dec 1790 at age 55. iii. Johan Peter; born 27 Jan 1738. iv. Susanna Margarethe; born 10 Jul 1739. Children of Martin3 Kunkel and Anna Margarethe Schuster were as follows: i. Johan Melchior4; born 3 Mar 1743; married Anna Elizabeth Dietrich 1766. ii. Anna Barbara; born 10 Jan 1747; died 4 Jun 1765 at age 18. 4 iii. Johan Hynurich, born 15 May 1751 at Florsbach, Germany; married Elizabeth Christina Kleinfelter. Generation Four 4. Johan Hynurich4 Kunckel (Martin3Kunkel, Nicolaus2, (--?--)1); born 15 May 1751 at Florsbach, Germany;iv married Elizabeth Christina Kleinfelter, daughter of Johann Michael Klinefelter and Apollonia SUSQUENHANNA IND [Princess], between 1780 and 1781 at Springfield Twp, York Co, Pennsylvania; died 1827 at Shrewsbury Tnshp, York Co., Pennsylvania; buried at Fissels Cem., Shrewsburg Twp, York Co., Pennsylvania. Was one of the Hessian soldiers hired to fight for the British in the Revolutionary War. He was captured by Washington, 12/25/1776 after Washington crossed the Delaware. Latter fought with the Americans. Settled in Shrewsbury Township, York, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Christina Kleinfelter. Elizabeth, her father and daughter Rebecca Ehrman are buried at Fissel's (formerly Schuster's) Church, York Co., PA. Henry's mother was a Schuster. A Melchior Schuster came to PA from Florsbach, with three sons, in 1766. She was buried at York, Pennsylvania. She was born on 18 Feb 1763 at St Jacob, Brodbeck'S, York Co., Pennsylvania. She died on 28 Mar 1815 at Warrington, York Co., Pennsylvania, at age 52. Children of Johan Hynurich4 Kunckel and Elizabeth Christina Kleinfelter were as follows: 5 i. Henry5 Kunkel (Johan4Kunckel, Martin3Kunkel, Nicolaus2, (--?--)1); born 23 Sep 1785 at York, Pennsylvania; married Elizabeth Anna Miller, daughter of Andrew Miller and Barbara STABLEY, 1806 at York Co., Pennsylvania; died Feb 1840 at age 54. Migrated with his 11 children to Gallion, Ohio by 1820 - then to Holt Co., Missouri, in 1847. Elizabeth Anna Miller was born on 11 Dec 1788 at Pennsylvania. Children of Henry5 Kunkel and Elizabeth Anna Miller were as follows: i. Jacob J6; born 10 May 1810 at York Co., York, Pennsylvania; married Susannah Julia Ann Acton, daughter of Henry Lovelace Acton VI and Mary Ann PADGETT, 25 Aug 1831; died 5 Dec 1872 at Holt Co., Holt, Missouri, at age 62. Death may be 5 Aug 1872; from SL Temple Record #16236, Book 2V, p. 569. He received his endowment on 23 May 1924. 6 ii. Nancy Ann; born 3 May 1815 at Shrewsbury, York Co., Pennsylvania; married Ferdinand Simero ROSTOCK 8 Feb 1837 at Crawford Co., Ohio; died 5 Dec 1908 at Oregon, Holt Co., Missouri, at age 93. vii. Barnabas "Barney;" born 10 Feb 1818; died 26 May 1889 at age 71. viii. Noah; born 22 Mar 1820. ix. Suzean; born 22 May 1822; died 11 Nov 1907 at age 85. x. Otilla; born 13 Nov 1824. xi. Henry6 Kunkel III (Henry5, Johan4Kunckel, Martin3Kunkel, Nicolaus2, (--?--)1); born 11 Dec 1811 at York Co., Pennsylvania;v married Barbara Acton, daughter of Henry Lovelace Acton VI and Mary Ann PADGETT, 11 Jun 1835; died 4 Oct 1879 at New Port, Holt, Missouri, Missouri, at age 67; "Barbra Acton" obituary states that Henry's family lived in Ohio until 1847 when they moved to Holt Co., Missouri; buried at Nickell's Grove Cemetery, New Port, Holt, Missouri; is Buried near brother Jacob.vi He was found "while prospecting for coal on the bank of Davis Creek about two miles northeast of Mound City, Mo., encountered a stream of water forty-one feet from the surface. It flowed out of the top of the ground and was mineral water possessing great medicinal qualities. Later became a hotel and resort Mineral Springs in 1871 at Kunkel Springs, Nickell's Grove, Holt Co., Missouri.vii Barbara Acton was born on 25 Aug 1816 at Piscataway, Prince George, Maryland; Charles Co.?.viii She died in Mar 1892 at Marvin, Phillip, Kansas, at age 75; died at home of son J.B. Kunkel; had been living with children since the death of Henry in 4 Oct 1879. She received her endowment on 3 Apr 1931 at SL. Children of Henry6 Kunkel III and Barbara Acton were as follows: i. Nancy Ann7; born circa 1853 at Missouri. ii. Julia Ann; born circa 1857 at Missouri; married Abram S pearce, son of William pearce and Elizabeth Hartman, May 1865; died 23 Sep 1911. 7 iii. Mary Ann, born 25 Mar 1860 at Missouri; married Isaac Pearce. iv. Jake; born circa 1850 at Missouri. v. Henry; born circa 1851 at Missouri. vi. John; born circa 1855 at Missouri. vii. Generation Seven 7. Mary Ann7 Kunkel (Henry6, Henry5, Johan4Kunckel, Martin3Kunkel, Nicolaus2, (--?--)1); born 25 Mar 1860 at Missouri; married Isaac Pearce, son of William pearce and Elizabeth Hartman, 20 Jan 1868. She appeared on the census; 1880 Liberty, Holt Co., Missouri; Vol. 15, ED 18, sheet 8 Line 9; Microfilm # 1254690. Isaac Pearce. Drummer boy in Civil War, lied about age to qualify. Mission of outfit was to chase "bushwackers" (guerillas fighting for the South). Discharged after 4 months and started farming in Holt. Co., Missouri. After 3 years went by wagon train to Montana. At one time at Ft. Laramie thier party was surronded by 5000 Cheyenne and Sioux. He returned to Holt Co., Missouri where he married Mary Ann in 1868. The two eloped with Mary going through the window of her cousin Becky Kellar. Bought a farm near Mound City, Missouri abt 1876. Moved to Ness Co., Kansas about 1898 where the children would gather cow and buffalo chips for fuel. Entered the first race for the Cherookee Strip on April 22, 1889 in Agra, Oklahoma. A "Sooner" told him to get off the claim, but he held his ground. He soon became Agra's first postmaster(abt 1903-1908?). He was born on 27 Aug 1847 at Baltimore, Maryland; 12 miles south of Baltimore.
